A town where history doesn’t just come alive, it serves dessert, too.
CCTV footage shows four people cutting down the statue at 3.45 a.m. on Feb. 26.
Yet a separate statue of Captain Cook in another council area could be removed entirely.
The statue was toppled and vandalised with red paint on the weekend.
Victorian Police confirmed with the Epoch Times they are investigating the incident.
‘This sort of vandalism, has no place in our society,’ Victorian Premier Jacinta Allen said.
