French Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin says a suspect has been arrested, but the motivation for the attack is unclear.
‘Its plan is to land low blows against civilian infrastructure to try to induce panic,’ FBI Director Christopher Wray said.
‘The truth of the matter is that there are a lot of women in NSW hospitals and women were targeted by this attacker.’
The reports of an armed man led to Robina Hospital, which is near the train station, locking down wards and diverting ambulances.
