OTTAWA—The poignancy of the opening segment of the Divine Performing Arts show at Ottawa’s National Arts Centre Saturday night was not lost on Celtic singer Ms. McKenna.

“They’re giving us a bit of a story before the actual performance so I’m able to follow along and understand what the actual piece is about, the history of dance and the actual culture.”
