What was only a few years ago the most abundant large predator on Earth is now little more than a memory.

A recently published study by the Imperial College London showed that environmental education could be passed between generations and affect behavior.

June 8th and 9th are very special days. They are World Ocean Day and Coral Triangle Day respectively. Both dates herald recognition of two of the world’s greatest and most important resources.

Our climate is driven by ocean currents and recent (2009) studies suggest that these may now change dramatically due to global warming, melting the Arctic, and causing widespread flooding that will drown the cities of a quarter of the world’s population.

“Overfishing of sharks is now recognized as a major global conservation concern, with increasing numbers of shark species added to the IUCN’s list of threatened species.”

In September 2010, The Andaman Resort commissioned a survey of the Andaman Reef platform.
