Daniel R. Green, Ph.D., is a research fellow at The Heritage Foundation. He served as the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Strategy and Force Development from 2019-2021. He is the co-editor of “Confronting China: U.S. Defense Policy in an Era of Great Power Competition” (2024).
