The girl is currently being held by the Kurdish forces but will be “transferred to Swedish authorities to return home once necessary arrangements are in place.”

So far Swedish authorities have not confirmed they are aware of the girls rescue.

Swedish media have reported that the girl is from the city of Boras and traveled with her boyfriend when she was 15 and pregnant. She and her boyfriend reportedly traveled by train to Turkey after which they crossed the border with Syria.
