Aron Ralston, the subject of the movie “127 Hours”--who amputated his arm--was arrested and jailed over a domestic violence claim near Denver, Colorado.

The Denver Post reported that Ralston, 38, was arrested on Sunday and is being held in jail on assault charges and a count of wrongs to minors.

He is scheduled for a hearing at 1 p.m. in Denver County Court on Monday.

Ralston famously cut off his own arm to free himself from a boulder while hiking in Utah.

He was descending into a slot canyon when a boulder fell on him and crushed his arm.

The experience was later made into a film starring James Franco.
