Recently, a teenage girl from Kyrgyzstan was rushed to the hospital. The problem was an absolutely massive hairball in her stomach.
The hairball was blocking the digestive system of 18-year-old Ayperi Alekseeva, leaving her unable to eat food or drink water.
The 9-pound hairball formed from the habit of consuming pieces of her hair along with wool from the carpet in her home.
The girl’s parents transported her to the hospital at the right time, as doctors say she would have likely passed away from malnourishment or dehydration.
The senior professor of surgery remarked, “Her stomach was so badly swollen from hair and bits of wool from the carpet that it literally just oozed out as soon as the wall of the stomach was cut.”
The girl has vowed to no longer chew her hair.
