A young girl, Phoebe Simpson, lost her bear on the train over the weekend, but a kind and connected stranger picked it up in a story with a happy ending.

Lauren Bishop Vranch found the bear at Kings Cross and posted a picture on Twitter, asking people to help her find the owner.

She then posted a series of pictures showing her and the bear traveling around and doing a range of things, including having dinner in a cozy pub.

Check out what happened below.

Luckily, Ben Simpson, Phoebe’s father, had spotted the photos somewhere on the internet.

“WOW the power of the internet and kind folk - that’s my daughter Phoebes bear - she has been in tears all weekend and I’ve just shown her the picture and she is over the moon. Thank you all so much!” he said on “Spotted: On the Train” Facebook page.

“Here is Phoebe at York station with ‘Roar’ just before she lost him.”
