William Lyons, or Bill Lyons, was the so-called “headless man” in the sex scandal half a century ago with the Duchess of Argyll, the Duchess’s daughter-in-law says.
The “headless man” was dubbed as such because an image of the duchess, Margaret, performing a sexual act on a man didn’t show his head. It hasn’t been confirmed who the man is over the years until now, it seems.
Lady Colin Campbell, the daughter-in-law, wrote in the Daily Mail tabloid that Lyons, sales director of Pan American World Airways, was the man.
“It is to restore some small measure of justice that I have decided to end the mystery and reveal who it was in the picture with her, and why,” she said. “I know the answer for a fact because, in the course of our long friendship, it was Margaret who told me”
