TAIPEI—Siang is an 8 year old trumpet performer, and a member of the Celestial Band, formed by Taiwan Falun Gong practitioners. But this 8 year old girl’s name is also on the blacklist provided by the communist regime to the Hong Kong Immigration Department. Siang’s visa application to Hong Kong was rejected.

Eighty-two year old Yang Jin and her 75 year old sister Shen-yang Siou-luan are Falun Gong practitioners from Keelung. On June 25, both of them were denied entry into Hong Kong at customs, even though they held valid visas.

Yang Jin said, “From 9:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. the next day, we were forced to sit on a chair and denied access to a toilet for that period of time. My handbag was repeatedly searched but no reason was given. I told them that I felt cold and hungry after several hours, but nobody cared, they were only interested in asking questions, like interrogating a convict.”

Yang Jin told The Epoch Times that she had been to Hong Kong two times before. She did not expect this kind of treatment during the tenth anniversary of Hong Kong’s takeover just because of her belief in Falun Gong.

The Zhang family from Ping Tung were violently deported on June 30, their two children are less than 10 years old, but were also carried on a stretcher to the plane during the deportation process. Mr. Zhang is the principal of a local Ping Tung elementary school, he had visited Hong Kong three times before without incident.

Mr Zhang said, “On June 29, we took Mandarin Airline to Hong Kong. Immediately upon our arrival, the Hong Kong authorities notified us that they had arranged a special tunnel for our arrival. All 50 Falun Gong practitioners on the plane were forcefully deported.”
