Ah the 1990s.

That was when Dell Curry was a shooting guard for the Charlotte Hornets. It was also when you could get a Whopper at Burger King for $1, a meal for $3, and some nice toys while you’re at it.

Hence the above ‘90s Burger King commercial featuring Dell Curry. Two decades later, the commercial has been dug back up due to the prognostic gold hidden within it.

In it, Curry featured his son Stephen Curry. Little Steph says that he wants to grow up to be a basketball player, so we see papa Curry lecturing him on the hard work and dedication that it takes. For those who don’t follow basketball, this was a true story.

Two decades later, a player with the surname Curry is averaging 29.7 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 6.3 assists for the league-leading 32-2 Golden State Warriors--one season after winning the MVP award and an NBA championship.
