Theatergoer Enjoys Historical Element in Shen Yun

“I’m Australian, I came here on a research program. ... This is a great exposure to the area that I like which is music … [with an] international flavor of what I appreciate most.”

“[I like] the whole theme: the relationship of humanity to the gods and to the earth and that responsibility to each other.”

“The whole performance is colorful, different, ethically favorable because it gives you another dimension and recognizes that a population outside China can actually represent the historical element. I think that’s what’s missing too often in the current society, that we don’t think history: Where it’s been and where we are and how we got here. I think that’s one of the elements of this particular presentation. They had taken us right through two, three thousand years and very colorful and very entertaining, right up to the present. I think that’s very, very good.”
