Donald Trump has a large lead in the recent polls out of New York, but two votes that he won’t be getting in the state’s primaries on April 19 are his son and daughter, Eric and Ivanka Trump.
Since 2011, 19 states have adopted laws restricting how people can register to vote and how they can cast their votes. Civil rights and voting rights advocates alike opposed the new rules.
A trial over Pennsylvania’s voter ID law will either uphold or block a new requirement that state Sen. Vincent Hughes (D-Phila./Montgomery) called “purely about partisan politics.” A ruling is expected this week.
