NEW DELHI, India—Arvind Kejriwal, Delhi’s chief minister and the leader of the Common Man Party, called off a 36-hour sit-in protest Tuesday against police inaction on women’s safety that snarled city transportation.
Attacks on women in India are becoming more frequent, leading the New Delhi government to take the tax off pepper spray in the city so low-income women can better afford the self-defense item.
