PRAGUE, Czech Republic—Jiri Wald attended Shen Yun Performing Art’s April 2 performance at the Prague Congress Center. “Impressions are terrific,” he said.

Mr. Wald also added, “It was fascinating. It'd be great if as many people as possible could see it because it’s an excursion into a thousands-of-years-old culture, and it’s impossible to comprehend it in such a short time.”

“For 5,000 years divine culture flourished in the land of China,” reads Shen Yun’s website. “Humanity’s treasure was nearly lost, but through breathtaking music and dance, Shen Yun is bringing back this glorious culture.”

“It’s something incredible. For us Europeans it’s unusual,” Mr. Wald said. “It’s a journey into a fairy land.”

With performances full of exquisite perfection, Shen Yun extends the stage and transports its audiences to a world where heaven and earth are one.

“Gods are coming down to us every night, so that wasn’t something strange,” he added. “To see it from the Chinese perspective, however, was something extraordinary.

Shen Yun’s website states that China was once know as Shen Zhou—The Divine Land. Such a name describes a culture where deities and mortals coexisted, and where divine messages were transmitted to earth.

“We enjoyed it, really enjoyed it,” Mr. Wald concluded. “I’m really happy to have brought at least some of my children with us.”

“It was a great experience.”
