Queen Elizabeth II became a great-grandmother on Thursday, Dec. 30, when Autumn Phillips, wife of Peter Phillips, “safely delivered” a baby girl at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital, Buckingham Palace announced in a statement.

Peter Phillips is the son of Anne the Princess Royal and Captain Mark Phillips, and the oldest grandchild of the Queen and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.

“The queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Princess Royal, Captain Mark Phillips, and Autumn’s family have been informed and are delighted with the news,” the palace stated.

The baby weighed 8 lbs and 8 oz at birth, and has not been named yet.

She is the couple’s first child as well as Princess Anne’s first grandchild. She is 12th in line to the throne.
