One Direction break up rumors are circulating among social media websites and some gossip outlets, but Liam Payne is among the deniers of the rumors.

Payne sparked the rumors because he said at the Brit Awards last week that the band members hadn’t seen each other for three months.

But he told Capital FM that the band is not splitting up and is instead writing their next album.

“People say we don’t work hard and it’s all a game and whatever,” he said.

“We just wanna make good music, and this album – honestly, every lad out there tonight who’s thinking One Direction are this and that. Literally, next album – pick up our album and see what you feel.”

TMZ further reported that it would be difficult to break up because the group has to complete three more albums under terms of their contract.

Sources told the entertainment website that the group has been writing songs separately, but that that is normal. They'll later come together to compare notes and come up with final versions of songs.

Harry Styles added to the Sun in the United Kingdom over the weekend that the group was just taking time to visit with their families.
