It is a delicate moment caught on tape right as a pit bull puppy is rescued from the freezing cold by a local police officer. Desperate to raise his internal body temperature, the officer holds him up against the vents of his police cruiser, hoping to use the warm air blowing from within to warm him. The puppy is wet and shaking from the cold conditions, and the officer is desperately trying everything he can to warn him up.

The dog had been left for dead under the Seabreeze Bridge in Florida, where temperatures had fallen to below freezing. Wet and cold, the poor puppy did not have long to brave the elements. Using a blanket, the officer wraps the puppy underneath to trap body heat as whimpers and cries echo from within. Nobody knows how long he has been left subjected to the cold elements, but in time he begins to warm up with the officer’s care.

Fortunately, the dog was nursed back to health and left in the care of the Halifax Humane Society. He was expected to make a full recovery. The video is heartbreaking, but the outcome is one of the best. You just must watch it for yourself.
