Obama Bangs: President Barack Obama joked about a range of issues, including that he is taking fashion tips from his wife, during the dinner.
“These days, I have to look at the mirror and admit, I’m not the strapping young Muslim socialist that I used to be,” said Obama, near the beginning of the dinner, in which reporters and officials joke about themselves and others.
Obama also joked about:
-The inaccurate reporting by CNN recently during the aftermath of the Boston Marathon explosions: "I know CNN has taken some knocks lately but the fact is, I admire their commitment to covering all sides of the story, just in case one of them happens to be accurate.”
-About a circulated photo of Obama shooting skeet at Camp David. “Quite a number of people insisted that this had been Photoshopped... You were right. Can we show them the actual photo? We were just trying to tone it down a little bit.” (Photo on left)
-Jay-Z and Beyonce’s recent trip to Cuba, which Jay-Z said was cleared with the White House but the White House responded that they had nothing to do with it: “I’ve got 99 problems and now Jay-Z’s one of them.”
