“This was awesome, phenomenal! It touches the soul. Definitely, it was very moving. The musicians were stellar all the way around. The orchestra was phenomenal. The soloists were very, very touching. All in all, it was a fantastic experience, with the digital backdrop and all of the choreography—stellar. Really, really good.”

“It was amazing, the compositions, very, very in sync with what was happening onstage. ... The conductor did an amazing job. [The storytelling] was right in line with what was going on on the stage, and it created mood and atmosphere in everything. It was very, very moving to the inner core. I was brought to tears.”

“I loved [the erhu solo]. I’ve seen it a few times and definitely, being a string player myself, that was the highlight for me, hearing that. And even during the performance, I could always hear it because it was such an in and out of the whole orchestra. I loved it. ... It just gives me a real serenity feeling. It’s haunting but joyous at the same time. Thinking that it’s just on two strings, it was phenomenal.”

“I would say [to my friends], you’ve got to come, definitely. You have to come because this is an amazing experience, visual and audial, through and through. A real treat.”
