Melinda Alexander Found: Woman Reported Missing Found Safe in San Mateo County

A 21-year-old missing woman, Melinda Alexander, was found after police thought that she was missing.

Alexander, a 5-foot 4-inch woman with brown eyes and brown hair was reported missing on August 14 in the early afternoon by the Mountain View Police Department.

Alexander was dropped off at a gas station by her sister after they got into an argument and is not from the area, alhtough she has family members in both San Francisco and San Mateo Counties, the department said.

The department issued an update around 10 p.m. PDT saying that Alexander was safely located.

“We are happy to report Melinda Alexander has been safely located in San Mateo County. A BIG thanks to each and every one of you — near and far — for helping us get the word out about Ms. Alexander! This community never ceases to amaze us,” the department said on Facebook.
