People are being mean to Donald Trump.

Lindsay Lohan would know. She was the star in the cult classic “Mean Girls,” where she plays a transfer student who rises through the social ranks at her new high school.

“I know Donald Trump, he is a nice person. He’s a New Yorker and my mum knows him,” Lohan told the Scottish Sun. “They are just making too much of a spectacle out of the election and they’re being mean. People are too mean towards Trump.”

Lohan said that though she thinks Trump is a nice guy on a personal level, she’s more of a Hillary Clinton fan. She said she wouldn’t be voting this year.

On Friday, a major Trump rally in Chicago was cancelled after anti-Trump protesters violently disrupted the event, and on Saturday Trump narrowly escaped an assault attempt after a protester scaled the barricades and got close enough to touch the stage Trump was standing on.
