Marjorie Lyons of Brooklyn is dead, along with her 11-day old son Preston Alexander.

Lyons was found by her brother, who grew uneasy after her twin six-year-old girls were walking around the apartment complex without her.

“Under her I saw a leg … a baby leg,” Jerome Guthrie, the brother, told the Daily News. “I reached out and pulled him out. He was purple all over. I screamed, ‘Please don’t be dead, please don’t be dead!’ ”

Police aren’t sure how Lyons, 34, died, and an autopsy was planned.

Lyons “was a very nice person,” her father, Douglas Lyons, 52, said as he fought back tears outside his daughter’s building. “She gets along with everybody. She loves kids. All the kids around here love her.”

Relatives think she died from a C-section that Lyons had on Sept. 30; she had been complaining of pain.

“She said she had a little fever and was feeling a little ill the other day so she went to the hospital around two days ago, and came back,” Douglas Lyons told WABC. “She was feeling some pains, and they gave her some medication, which she took, but she was complaining the medication made her drowsy.”

Douglas Lyons wants to know whether the medication--oxycodone--caused the death.
