I-90 in South Dakota and Minnesota is closed in sections on Thursday because of snow and crashes.

“White-out conditions and multiple crashes” forced the closure of I-90 west Luverne to the South Dakota line, the Minnesota Department of Transportation said in an alert.

The westbound lanes are also closed from Sioux Falls to Salem in Soth Dakota.

Crashed vehicles are blocking the road.

Lots of snow is falling in the area right now.
