Huma Abedin to Appear at DC Fundraiser on Thursday
Since last Friday, Hillary Clinton aide Huma Abedin has laid low after thousands of emails related to the FBI investigation to Clinton’s private server were reportedly found on a computer used by her husband, Anthony Weiner.
Abedin is still scheduled to host a Democratic fundraiser in Washington, D.C., on Nov. 3, according to Kate Bennett, a White House correspondent with Independent Journal.
Her name appears on an invitation that went out to donors during this week, reported CNN. She will be joined at the fundraiser by famed designer Diane Von Furstenberg and Vogue’s editor-in-chief Anna Wintour.

Karen Dunn, an attorney for the longtime Clinton aide, said Abedin “only learned for the first time on Friday, from press reports, of the possibility that a laptop belonging to Mr. Weiner could contain emails of hers,” reported NBC News.
Law enforcement officials also told NBC that she used Weiner’s laptop to send emails to Clinton.
Dunn added that “Ms. Abedin will continue to be, as she always has been, forthcoming and cooperative.”
“From the beginning, Ms. Abedin has complied fully and voluntarily with State Department and law enforcement requests, including sitting for hours-long interviews and providing her work-related and potentially work-related documents,” Dunn said.
It’s unclear when or if Abedin will return to Clinton’s side on the campaign trail before Election Day on Nov. 8.
