“La Voz Mexico” contestant Gibran David Martiz Diaz may have been murdered by police officers in Veracruz.

Seven police officers were arrested, believed to have been part of the murder, reported News.com.au.

Diaz, 22, was a contestant on the popular game show, which is the Mexican version of “The Voice.”

He was found shot to death on Saturday.

Another youth who had been abducted with him was found dead as well.

They vanished on January 7.

Security forces were close to them when their abductors shot them, officials said.
