For its second production of the season, the Canadian Opera Company has taken the innovative step of pairing two short works by Claudio Monteverdi with a minimalist work by contemporary Canadian composer Barbara Monk Feldman.
“It’s been gorgeous. The messages, the sound, everything’s been perfect and it’s been glorious,” he said.
“They’re very powerful and confident, passionate about what they’re singing about. Inspiring,” said soprano Jessica Cheung of the Shen Yun singers.
The 5th Annual Mario Lanza Vocal Competition offered tenors a chance to let their voices be heard.
