Ray Epps, who participated in the riot on Jan. 6 at the U.S. Capitol, has been sentenced to 12 months of probation.
Prosecutors said Epps ‘has been the target of a false and widespread conspiracy theory that he was an undercover government agent on January 6.’
Epps faces a maximum of six months in prison and a fine up to $20,000 when sentenced on Dec. 20.
