After successfully passing two on-time and balanced budgets during his first two terms in office, Gov. Cuomo, once again submitted this year’s budget with promises for a historic third year in a row, something not done since 1977 in New York state.
Gov. Andrew Cuomo reached an agreement on the state’s 2012–2013 budget with Senate Majority Leader Dean Skelos and Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver on Tuesday that centers on infrastructure investment.
Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo released the 2012 executive budget on Jan. 17. The budget closes a $2 billion budget deficit without additional taxes and fees, while increasing school aid by $805 million.
