A Senate Committee couldn’t agree on how to handle the issue, with 4 out of the 6 members disagreeing.
The federal parliament has been raided by the National Anti-Corruption Commission, but the action doesn’t relate to a current or former politician.
“My client mortgaged her home at her age to pay for legal fees to do this to try to vindicate her reputation,” Senator Reynolds’ lawyer said.
‘There is no perfect time to leave politics, but this is the right time for me,’ Reynolds said.
Reynold’s action centres on a letter written by Drumgold to the chief of the AFP that was released to the media.
