Greenlight Capital hedge fund has dropped its lawsuit against Apple. They wanted Apple to distribute its money among shareholders through a customized preferred share option they designed.
Apple Inc. is discussing plans to return more of its cash to shareholders. The statement was prompted after hedge fund manager David Einhorn launched a PR offensive to lobby for cash dispersal and sued the company for wanting to eliminate preferred stocks.
