Chinese netizens were stunned when they saw the picture of newly-elected Taipei Mayor Ko Wen-je, who was alone and stood by himself on a Taipei Metro car, in a photo posted to a Taiwanese citizen’s Facebook page.

A Chinese netizen posted a flurry of warnings from Dec. 15 to 17, saying not to take flights on Malaysia Airlines or AirAsia. The user wrote in Chinese, “Lives are at stake. Please pay attention.”
