California is delaying enforcement of the new regulations—originally taking effect on Jan. 1—that would start phasing out diesel- and gas-powered trucks at ports and railyards.
The group is seeking to stop the Advanced Clean Fleets rule—which requires truckers to switch to zero-emissions vehicles by 2042—from taking effect.
“We are, in California, bearing this tremendous burden financially, to model good climate behavior. And it doesn’t do anything,” said Susan Shelley.
