Hundreds expected to gather at Bondi beach to memorialise the victims of the April 13 attack at Westfield Bondi Junction in Sydney.
A solemn crowd formed to leave condolences and bouquets on level four of the silent shopping centre, where stores will resume trade on April 19.
‘It is a shocking event for everyone as Australia as we know it is a safe place and there is no room for incidents like this.’
‘You are welcome to stay here for as long as you like,” Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said.
The Scentre Group, owners of Westfield, says it will review security arrangements at its destinations as part of cooperating with the coronial inquiry.
‘The government is not considering policy changes in relation to stun guns or firearms.’
