Florida: Lion Reportedly Loose in Masaryktown, Pasco County

A lion was on the loose in Pasco County in Florida, according to preliminary reports on Friday.

The lion is said to be in Masaryktown after it went missing from the Survival Outreach Sanctuary on Bowman Road in Spring Hill, Tampabay.com reported.

Florida Wildlife Commission officials and Pasco sheriff’s deputies were searching for the large cat.

The sheriff’s office said it was missing at approximately 11 a.m.

The Survival Outreach website says the sanctuary holds cougars, leopards, and tigers as well as smaller cats and deer.
