Fast & Furious 7 Cast Member Ali Fazal: ‘Exciting’ to Work With Vin Diesel; Helen Mirren in Fast & Furious 8?

Fast and Furious 7 has wrapped filming ahead of its April, and Ali Fazal is remembering how fun it was to be part of the latest installment of the popular franchise.

“It’s not an Indian part. It’s essential to the script which is why I got excited,” he said.

“My work is with the entire gang. It was exciting to work with Vin Diesel and all. We all grew up watching it…lot of action and cars,” the 27-year-old Fazal told IBN.

Fazal said the move has prompted him to work to get a sports car.

“I don’t even have a car yet. I am looking forward to buying one. I can’t give that out yet. It’s sports version of something. There are few cars that make sports version,” he said.

Fazal had previously told PTI that he’s always cherish his time with the cast, especially Paul Walker, who died in November 2013 in the middle of filming.

“I have grown up watching the franchise so it was a huge deal for me. Being on the set with the director James Wan (‘Insidious’ and ‘The Conjuring’), Ludacris, Kurt Russell, Paul Walker. It was nice to get to just know what they are really like,” he said.

Meanwhile, Helen Mirren says that she’d enjoy being in a Fast & Furious film.

Recalling her work in the 2006 movie The Queen, she told Huffington Post:

“I loved driving my Land Rover. I did my own sort of stunt driving, if you could call it that. I was driving through the Scottish countryside, not being able to see where I’m going because there are two cameras strapped to the front of that vehicle. So it was a kind of stunt driving, and that was really fun. I loved that. I always love stunt driving.

“I do as much driving on my movies as I can. If there’s driving stuff to be done, I always beg or insist on doing it myself. Little-known fact: Helen Mirren, stunt driver. I’d love to be in a ‘Fast & Furious’ movie. I keep putting feelers out. I’d love to do ‘Fast & Furious.’ I love Vin Diesel as well. He doesn’t understand, I think he’s so cool.”
