EA Says Microsoft Is Catching up in Console Sales

Last week, Microsoft announced that the Xbox One had surpassed the 10 million sales mark (albeit to retailers, not customers) and now EA is saying that they, too, are seeing that gap is closing when compared to the PS4. This is not a huge surprise considering that the $50 price cut of the console and the game bundles increase the value proposition considerably.

The comment came from EA CFO Blake Jorgensen, who said the following at the UBS Global Technology Conference:

Clearly Sony has jumped out to a lead with a great console and I think a great pricing strategy...Microsoft is catching up quickly.

Microsoft will no doubt welcome its sales momentum being recognized and commented upon. Seeing that the console got off to a rough start thanks to a botched E3 announcement and a high price, it looks like the company is finally firing on all cylinders when it comes to the Xbox.
