Corey Thomas has been identified as the man War Machine beat up before attacking Christy Mack.
Thomas, who grew rich working in web design, was on one of the stars of Megan Wants a Millionaire on VH1.
The reality show included lots of action, including murder.
Co-star Ryan Jenkins hanged himself in 2009, just days after killing his wife by cutting her up and stuffing her in a suitcase. That cut short the programming after just four episodes.
Now Thomas is working to recover from being attacked by War Machine, who attacked Thomas beofre he beat girlfriend Mack.
TMZ reported that Thomas has a broken nose and two black eyes, and that War Machine also allegedly bit him in the face. According to some reports, War Machine’s brother Michael Eugene found Thomas and Mack having sex, which prompted the attacks.
Mack is in the hospital with 18 broken bones and a ruptured liver. Mack said she was beaten by her boyfriend but managed to run outside after a while and a neighbor took her to the hospital.
War Machine is on the run with seven warrants out for his arrest and a $10,000 reward.
Noted star Dog the Bounty Hunter has joined the hunt for War Machine, who is maintaining his innocence. War Machine’s real name is Jon Koppenhaver but the MMA fighter is best known as his moniker, perhaps especially so after this situation.
War Machine has said that he didn’t attack his girlfriend. “I’m not a bad guy, I went to surprise my gf, help her set up her show and to give her an engagement ring and ended up fighting for my life,” War Machine said. “The cops will never give me fair play, never believe me. Still deciding what to do but at the end of the day it’s all just heart breaking. I only wish that man hadn’t been there and that Christy & I would behappily engaged.I don’t know y I’m so cursed. One day truth will come out.”
Mack recently took to Twitter to share photos of herself recovering and to thank supporters.
I would like to thank everyone for the support and kind thoughts over the past few days,” she said. I will never be able to express my gratitude.”
