CM Punk and AJ Lee, best known for wrestling in the WWE, have reportedly been married.
PWInsider.com said that Punk and Lee, who have been engaged for some time, were wed late Friday or early Saturday.
They were married in a small, private nuptial ceremony.
SE Scoops also reported the marriage.
Lee, born on March 19, 1987 as April Jeanette Mendez, was the longest reigning WWE Divas Champion at 295 days.
Punk, born on October 26, 1978 as Phillip Jack Brooks, was the longest WWE Champion of the modern era.
The pair were linked romantically beginning in the fall of 2013.
Lee, who grew up in New Jersey, recently moved to Chicago, where Punk has lived for most of his life.
Lee is currently on break from the WWE, although she is expected to return soon.
Punk is also on break, though many believe that he is in fact retired.
He was notably not among the recent WWE cuts, spurring speculation that his contract may be renewed by the WWE even if he is retired, preventing him from joining another pro wrestling league.
Punk hasn’t spoken publicly very much about what happened but did say that “it feels good” to be retired earlier this month.
“I get to do fun stuff like bowl and paint chairs and play whiffle ball with Bill Murray,” Punk said of a Chicago charity he’s involved in.
“It was super fun and for a great cause. You’ve got athletes and actresses and musicians and all kinds of people painting chairs. I’m super happy to be a part of it.”
