Hillary Clinton and George Clooney’s motorcade was showered with one thousand single-dollar bills as they went to an expensive fundraiser in Los Angeles.

“Hail to the Chief” and “We’re in the Money” were played as the motorcade passed.

The protest was organized by Clooney’s Studio City neighbor, Howard Gold, who hosted around 100 Sanders supporters who were doing a $27-a-person fundraiser.

Gold said that the throwing of the money was supposed to be a fun way to protest the campaign finance system. Organizers said that Gold withdrew the money from a bank, according to CNN

Clinton and the Hillary Victory Fund held multiple fundraisers in the San Fransisco and L.A. area in conjunction with the Democratic National Committee and state Democratic parties.

To co-host the event, a couple was asked to donate $353,400 to the fund. Single tickets cost $33,400.

The Clinton Campaign defended her expensive fundraisers saying that it was raising money for the Democratic party—something that Sanders has only recently started to do, and nowhere near the levels that Clinton has.
