The chromecast device is cheaper than Apple TV and Roku 3 but has less channels.

Chromecast is a small device similar in size and shape to a USB key. It plugs into a television and enables you to stream content from your computer to your TV.

It costs $35.

With the HDMI extender, the Chromecast will plug into both USB and HDMI ports.

Chennels include Netflix, YouTube, and Google Play Movies and TV.

In comparison, Roku 3 is $99 and streams over 1,000 channels. Apple TV is also $99.
