HONG KONG - According to China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC), there are over 103 million Internet users in China. One out of every thirteen Chinese people uses the Internet. Getting online has become part of daily life for people in China.

According to a Hong Kong-based news Web site, 10 years ago there were only about 50,000 Internet accounts. Recently, a sampling survey of 2,400 people in five cities indicated that Chinese Internet users spend an average 2.73 hours daily on news, e-mail, games, collecting information, or chatting.

The CNNIC indicated that 103 million is a milestone number and it is anticipated that the Internet users in Mainland China will increase a hundredfold within seven years.
