MADRID, Spain—On May 10, Falun Dafa practitioners from Spain and Portugal gathered in the capital of Spain to celebrate World Falun Dafa Day. This is the very first time that Falun Dafa practitioners from both countries got together for such a celebration.
On a radiant, sunny day, people from all walks of life performed the five exercises of the practice at El Callao Square, one of the most crowded sites in downtown Madrid. People passing by stopped for a while to contemplate the tranquil exercises, which contrasted with the urban rush.
During the rest of the afternoon, Falun Dafa practitioners and some supporters explained to passers by the facts of the persecution of Falun Dafa in China. Hundreds of people signed a petition calling for the end of this persecution.
