The Bates Motel season 2 premiere date is coming up on March 3, and A & E has released a new trailer as well as an official description of what will happen during the season.
In addition, other spoilers have been coming out about what will happen.
Let’s check them out:
-Norman is fixating on Miss Watson’s death.
-Norma’s mysterious past starts to haunt the family with the introduction of her brother.
-Norman’s brother Dylan gets more entrenched in the familial drug war that fuels White Pine Bay and finds himself right in the middle of the danger as Bradley, who remains on the hunt to uncover her father’s killer, is driven to precarious extremes.
-Sheriff Romero is caught up on all fronts as everything in town escalates. Season 2 gives more of a window into his dilemma of trying to uphold the law but knowning that the town is stained by the illicit drug trade.
-Romeo will continue to butt heads with Norma. “It’s going to get more and more complicated as he gets more involved with her life,” Nestor Carbonell (Romeo) told Digital Spy. You'll see further topics in the second season that bring them together - for better or worse - and complicate both of their lives.”
-Emma complicates her relationship with Norman as the duo explore new love interests, bringing new and old characters along for the ride.
-New antagonists will be introduced in the second season. “There’s two families at the heart of the drug trade and we’re introduced to both of them and the conflicts between the two of them,” Carbonell said. “I’m sort of caught in the middle - my position within the town is exposed fairly quickly and you'll see how I have to navigate between these two families… and somehow maintain my integrity.”
-Another new character is introduced--Norma’s brother Caleb (Kenny Johnson), who Norma confessed raped her years earlier--but her story comes into question. “He has his version and she has her version,” Johnson told Entertainment Weekly. “Obviously in an episode last season, she says [her] brother used to rape [her] in high school, so that’s all her son knows. But what is the real story and what’s the background, nobody is really going to know.”
