Trump Lost in Manhattan to John Kasich

Donald Trump won New York state by large margins. However, the one place where he lost was the county that he calls home—New York County—which contains the borough of Manhattan.

Kasich, seeing an opening, made an appeal to the delegates that they expect will open up and back the Governor on a possible second ballot: 

“Donald Trump’s only chance is on the first ballot,” his top strategist John Weaver said in a statement. “After that, a number of his delegates will move to us on the second ballot, and Gov. Kasich will ultimately prevail because he is the only candidate who can defeat Hillary Clinton.”
