Actress Tina Fey will reportedly take on her famous portrayal of former vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin on NBC’s Saturday Night Live(SNL) this April.
She told the Associated Press, “It’s inevitable that we’ll try it, at least. We’ll see if it makes it to air.”
The role became a pop-culture sensation during the course of the 2008 U.S. presidential campaign. The actress described the experience as “The strangest thing that’s ever happened to me. I’ve never had anything fall in my lap like that. Everything is usually me trying to convince the people of Earth that it’s OK for me to perform. ... That felt like the opposite.”
Fey will be appearing as host of SNL in a promotional effort to support her upcoming movie, Date Night.
