The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is pushing for a new global order under its control. The push for a new international power structure came to the forefront after a meeting between CCP leader Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin during a gathering of leaders from the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. They now aim to create an alternative global security alliance, along with a new push for a “multipolar world” where the United States would no longer be the world leader.
