The influx of Chinese illicit drugs in America has prompted the U.S. Congress to address the country’s opioid crisis in a massive defense spending bill.

The recently finalized version of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for the fiscal year 2020 contains multiple provisions targeting threats posed by Beijing, including railcars, buses, drones, and fentanyl—all originating from China.
