With less than three weeks before Parliament returns after being prorogued, a federal judge has dismissed a legal challenge of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s move to suspend Parliament. 
Trudeau announced on Jan. 6 that he would be stepping down as prime minister once the Liberal Party had chosen a new leader, and that he had asked Gov. Gen. Mary Simon to prorogue Parliament until March 24.
